Consider a film that portrays your culture. Reflect on how accurately your culture is represented and the potential impacts of this portrayal.

It is hard for me to say what my culture is because, in my eyes, my family does not celebrate religion and we are white. I have not really seen any films that show the culture of my family. We are atheist, and it feels like we kind of just live life and don’t do anything special. I guess Modern Family would be the most accurate, with three kids and two parents, but I have two brothers rather than it being two girls. Even though we don’t have traditions tied to religion or heritage, I think our shared experiences and the way we interact still shape our unique family culture. It might not fit a clear label, but I do not know how else to describe my family culture.
