What is the most challenging part of writing an essay for you? Is it brainstorming, organizing ideas, writing a strong thesis, or something else? How do you plan to overcome this challenge?
I have never been good at grammer or punctuation when it comes to essays, we found out in 5th grade I was legally blind so I kind of never learned my grammer in elementary school. It is really bad and I know I need to work on it but even when I feel like I do I always forget it. Punctuation and figurative language also get me I am not great at those. Sometimes I have trouble coming up with the idea for my essay or get blocked when writing. I always have someone look over my paper because I know I didn`t spell or write something correctly. I also have Grammarly and other writing programs signed onto my computer so it will correct me as I go.
Today in class we were going over how to write out essays again this time focusing on the body paragraph. We discussed the structure and information you should have in each body paragraph, and how they should be there. You must use correct evidence and also explain it correctly, then connect it back to your starting sentence. We then read the color purple on our own, we are trying to finish the book by the end of the week.
