Describe a time when someone’s words had a lasting impact on you.

 A time someone`s words had a lasting impact on me was when my dad told be that I should never be able to get less than a 70 in the class if I was actually completing all of the work even if I failed all the tests. I was never a good test taker so I remember this to know that a C is not acceptable even if the tests were the reason for a low grade and if I did not get a 0% on every test it was possible to get even higher.

We read letters 51-58 in the color purple today and then answered discussion questions. in thr book Celie makes a major change in her life by leaving Albert and moving to Memphis with Shug. In Memphis, she begins , gaining independence and confidence. Meanwhile, Albert struggles with regret and loneliness. Nettie living in Africa, writes about her challenges and struggles against colonialism, while also growing closer to Samuel. Celie learns to love herself and realize she doesn't need Shug or anyone else for her happiness. Eventually, Albert apologizes to Celie for his past treatment, and she starts to forgive him, showing borh of their personal growth and healing.
