November 12th

 A feeling that took me by surprise was getting my first cat. My parents had always said no to a cat because we had two dogs. But a couple days before Christmas and they brought home a box and called me downstairs, when I opened it and it was a small black and white kitten. they told me it was a girl so I named it Gracie later we found out it was a boy cat ( which was also a suprise), but we kept the name Gracie.

 During last semester I was taking a hiatus from doing my school work like I should and it ended up making me have a lower GPA in the end. Write about an object that holds sentimental value and why it’s important to you.

 An object that holds importance to me is the jewelry box I got when I was around 9 years old. I was going through her storage room while having a sleepover at her house. When I found it I brought it to her and asked if I could keep it and when she said yes I filled it with candy from her house. I now use it for rings and bracelets and it sits on my vanity away from anything that could break it. Today in class we read two chapters of the color purple, letters 36 and 37, we then did a worksheet. The worksheet went over the relationships between the characters, their tension or conflict, and a quote that showed the tension/ conflict in those two letters. It helped me get a deeper understanding of the character's relationships and why there is conflict and tension between them.

Describe your personal approach to creativity. What steps do you follow when you’re working on a project. Tell me about a project you created that you were most proud of.

 I usually start with brainstorming and thinking of the basic idea that I want to do, sometimes when I have trouble I will use my resources and look on Pinterest or Google for inspiration. Never take it directly but create my own thing. I was really proud of this cake I made in the seventh grade of a cell, I liked baking cakes in general and I went all out and spent a lot of money on candy and other things to do the most. I spent probably 4 hours on it.  Today in class we worked on brainstorming, making thought bubbles, and ensuring you answer a writing prompt completely. We then answered a prompt relating to the color purple and chose a character to make the though bubbles about. I chose Sofia.
